Taylor unaffected by critics’ response

The 17-year-old star Taylor Momsen has been criticised in the past for her provocative outfits and outrageous behaviour, but she insists she isn’t bothered by any of it as she is just being true to herself. She said, “It’s about owning it no matter what anyone says. This is who I am and this is who I am going to be. It’s about every girl being true to themselves.”
Taylor has previously said she has “no interest” in being a role model after she was slated for being pictured smoking when she was 16. She said, “I smoke, so what? When I walk outside with a cigarette and someone takes a picture of it and puts it on the Internet, it’s not my problem. I’m just living my life and I’m not gonna live my life for other people. I didn’t get into this to be a role model for seven year olds.”
