1,844 short-listed by 55 corporates in job mela

The second job mela organised by the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation was a success. As many as 1,844 of the 5,100 candidates who attended on Tuesday were short-listed by 55 companies.
GHMC Mayor M. Majid Hussain said 2,500 candidates had registered online and 2,600 candidates attended the job mela in person. According to the Mayor, 14,042 candidates registered online till November 19.

A special IT job mela will be conducted in January as there are more candidates seeking jobs with BE, B.Tech and MCA qualifications. The Mayor said he was expecting 1,500 IT jobs to be on offer.

The companies that participated included Adecco India Pvt. Ltd, Airtel, Apollo Pharmacy, Bharati Walmart, Care Hospital, Checkmate Services Pvt. Ltd, Cinemax, Country Club, Domino’s Pizza, Eureka Forbes, and Future Generalli India Life Insurance.
