2 found murdered at Kompally, Rs 4.74 lakh stolen from victims
Two persons were found murdered on Saturday at Kompally. Police said the victims G. Tirupati, 25, and Ankush, 45, residents of Metpally, were stabbed to death by robbers who are believed to have taken Rs 4.74 lakh from the victims. Passersby found their bodies in the bushes near the green belt area of Kompally-Medchal highway at 11.30 am. Their necks were slit with sharp weapons and stab injuries were found on them. The truck in which they were travelling was parked on the roadside, police said.
According to Petbasheerabad police inspector B. Janaiah, Tirupati, the driver, and Ankush, an accountant, were on their way to Gaganpahad while they were attacked by robbers. “Ankush, who was employed at Shiva Enterprises at Metpally, was sent to fetch 33 barrels of sunflower oil by the owner C. Chatrapati. He was carrying Rs 4.74 lakh with him,” he said. “They must have been killed by robbers,” Mr Janaiah added.
