ACB denies Yadagiri Rao arrest report

Confusion prevailed over the arrest of P. Yadagiri Rao, rowdysheeter-cum-realtor who was named an accused in the FIR in the cash-for-bail scam in Gali Janardhan Reddy case. Nalgonda police claimed they have handed over him to investigative officials, but the ACB officials denied it. Sources in Nalgonda police said a week ago Yadgiri Rao was caught at Chitiyal while he was trying to flee. He was handed over to the CBI officials, who recorded his statement. However, after the case was registered by the ACB, he went missing. Meanwhile, Karnataka MLA Somasekhara Reddy denied all allegations in the cash-for-bail scam and said the ACB’s FIR against him was politically motivated. The ACB is to begin a full-pledged probe.
