AI pilot stir: 24-hr delay for Jeddah flight

Hyderabad has started feeling the heat of the Air India pilots’ strike after one of the international flights to Jeddah was 'rescheduled' to fly after a 24-hr delay.

Though the AI spokesperson said the passengers were infor-med in advance, the passengers seen enqu-iring at AI counters about the status of their flights, spoke otherwise. The Friday evening Jeddah flight is now scheduled to leave on Saturday evening at the same time.

Passengers booked on the AI flight to Chicago from Delhi were adjusted in domestic flights of AI and other private airlines like Jet Airways etc. said the officials.

AI has suspended bookings for the US, Canada and Europe till May 15. It sacked 25 more pilots on Friday.
