All set for old city Bonalu festivities

All arrangements have been made for conducting Bonalu festival in the old city on Sunday, followed by a massive procession on Monday.

The festivities will commence from 4 am onwards on Sunday with Mahabhishekam of the Mother Goddess in as many as 272 temples in the old city alone and hundreds of other temples in Jubilee Hills, Banjara Hills, Ameerpet, Begumpet and neighbouring Ranga Reddy district.

Streets have been illuminated, additional street lighting is in place and all the temples of Mother Goddess Mahan-kali have been decked up.

Elaborate police security has been provided at all the temples and also at places of religious worship of other faiths.
