BTech Ravi held for gambling

The Banjara Hills police raided a house in plot number 86 in Film Nagar and nabbed 26 people for gambling. It is reported that TD candidate M. Ravindranath Reddy was among those arrested. The cops seized cash worth Rs 21.8 lakh and 28 cellphones from their possession. The police, acting on a tip-off, raided the place around 8 pm on Thursday. The cops caught the 26 people red-handed while playing cards using cash. One of the arrested, M. Ravindranath Reddy alias B.Tech Ravi, contested for the Pulivendula seat against YSRC candidate Y.S. Vijayalakshmi in the bypolls and lost by a huge margin. Among those arrested were some local politicians and real estate dealers. Cops registered a case against them.
