CBI to file 3rd chargesheet in Emaar case
Counsel for the Central Bureau of Investigation told the special court for CBI cases that the investigating agency will soon file a third chargesheet in Emaar scam case as it has got enough evidence and information on the end use of the money. The court on Wednesday heard the bail plea filed by Sunil Reddy. The CBI told the court that Mr Sunil Reddy acquired properties worth Rs 2.84 crores while showed income of Rs 99 lakhs in IT returns. Apart from this, 10 companies have pumped in Rs 45.21 crores into South End Properties owned by Sunil Reddy. Meanwhile, Mr Sunil Reddy’s counsel appealed to the court to grant bail to his client as the second chargesheet naming Sunil Reddy as accused has been returned by court to CBI, which means there is no chargesheet against him. The court has reserved the orders for May 25.
