CBI probes Srilakshmi’s Penna claim

The CBI is now probing the claims of IAS officer Y. Srilakshmi who told the agency that she issued lease orders of 740 acres of limestone to Penna Cements based on a memo issued by home minister Sabita Indra Reddy and the same is misplaced. Ms Sabita Reddy told the CBI that she didn’t issue any such memo as claimed by Srilakshmi. The CBI could not trace any such memo so far.

Meanwhile, Ms Sabita Reddy met the Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy to explain about the CBI interrogation. Another issue in which Ms Sabita Reddy was questioned is regarding Dalmia Cements where it is alleged the lease is transferred from Dalmia to Eswar Cements for the limestone quarry. She told CBI that she had approved the note file after forwarded by officials.
