Chiru’s fans vow to work for TSR victory
Fans of actor-turned-politician K. Chiranjeevi on Sunday took an oath to strive for the victory of Rajya Sabha member T. Subbarami Reddy, who is contesting as the Congress candidate for the Nellore Lok Sabha seat. TSR met the actor's fans and members of youth organisations at the Pichhi Reddy kalyanamandapam where the youths vowed that they would strive for his victory to uphold the message of social justice propagated by Mr Chiranjeevi.
Addressing the fans, TSR said "Mr Chiranjeevi is my bosom friend," recalling the time when he produced films like State Rowdy with the actor. He maintained that it was he who had introduced the actor-turned-politician to Bollywood.
“If you work for my win, you would definitely give a gift to your star. Apart from prosperity, I am also filled with spiritual feelings and the urge to serve society. Though I have two more years left as the Rajya Sabha MP, I came here to contest on the directions of Congress president Sonia Gandhi,” TSR said. The MP said that by obeying the directions, he would get closer to the people of his native place. “If I win, the topography of Simhapuri (Nellore) would under go a sea change,” he said.
