College picking starts today
With Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy providing clarity on the fee structure and fee reimbursement issue in engineering colleges on Thursday, Eamcet officials have been able to issue a revised schedule for engineering Web-based counselling to enable students to give their options on their preferred courses and colleges from Friday. The option entry was originally scheduled to begin from Thursday, but was put off due to confusion over the fee structure.
As per the revised schedule issued by Dr K. Raghunath, camp officer, Eamcet admissions, Eamcet rankers from rank 1 to 40,000 will be allowed to exercise their options on the Web on August 31 and September 1. Rankers from 40,001 to 75,000 can exercise their options on September 2 and 3; rankers from 75,001 to 1,05,000 can exercise their options on September 4 and 5; rankers from 1,05,001 to 1,55,000 can exercise their options on September 6 and 7 and rankers from 1,55,001 to the last rank can exercise their options on September 8 and 9 respectively.
If students want to change their options later, they will be allowed to do so on September 10 (from rank 1 to 1,00,000) and on September 11 (from rank 1,00,001 to last rank). The seat allotment list will be posted on the website http://apeamcet.nic. in on September 14 after 6 pm. There will a uniform fee of Rs 35,000 in 604 colleges and a differential fee in the other 85 colleges, ranging from Rs 52,000 to Rs 1,05,000.
Dr Raghunath said all these colleges will be included in the counselling list with their fee details on the website and students can view them from Friday and exercise their options based on their preferences.
Meanwhile, out of 60,000 students called for certificate verification, 18,120 skipped and only 41,880 came forward till the fourth day of the counselling.
