Congress to decide minister’s fate
The AICC general secretary, Mr Ghulam Nabi Azad, on Thursday said the Congress high command will take a final view after going through the details of the case pertaining to secondary education minister K. Parthasaradhi after the economic offences court convicted him for violation of FERA rules and regulations.
Speaking to newsmen at Delhi, Mr Azad said he will ask the Chief Minister to give his view on the issue and seek details of the case against the minister. Meanwhile, minister Parthasaradhi on Thursday evening met the Chief Minister N. Kiran kumar Reddy and tried to clarify his position regarding the case. Later speaking to newsmen outside the CM’s Camp Office, the minister said, “I have briefed CM on all details pertaining to my case. There is no justification in the Opposition seeking my resignation.” Earlier, the TD and TRS leaders wanted the Election Commission to initiate criminal proceedings against him and nullify his election.
