Congress must come clean on fee issue: YSRC

Criticising the Congress government’s failure to implement the fee-reimbursement scheme properly, the YSR Congress has threatened to intensify its stir until the government makes its stand clear on whether or not it will reimburse the full fees of students who qualify for the scheme in professional courses.
YSR Congress honorary president Y.S. Vijayalakshmi on Tuesday criticised Congress leaders who were claiming credit for initiating welfare schemes. She also added that Telugu Desam supremo N. Chandrababu Naidu had done nothing to benefit students during his regime.

Ms Vijayalakshmi said that though the Congress government is raking in money by revising RTC fares and power tariff, it could still not pay the fees of poor students. She demanded that the government come clean on the issue and dispel confusion among students and parents. She ended her two-day fast by drinking a glass of lime juice offered by two engineering students.
