Congress: TRS is weakening
Telangana Jagruti president K. Kavitha on Friday said, âIf you think about deaths of Telangana children, who should be shot dead first? It's ministers like T.G. Venkatesh, Seemandhra ministers, those making fun of suicides by Telangana youth and Telangana leaders carving for posts and those who are yet to spell out their stance on Telangana.â Congress MLC P. Sudhakar Reddy was quick to condemn the statement. âIt's not correct say Seemandhra ministers should be shot dead. TRS leaders are making such statements since the party is weakening,â he said.
At the same meeting, Mr E. Rajender, TRS Floor leader in the Assembly, asked the government not to create unrest in Sircilla by granting permission to YSR Congress leader Y.S. Vijayalakshmi to hold a protest for weaversâ welfare. âThe government should not create another Mahbubabad,â he said, alluding to the violence when Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy tried to enter Telangana on his Odarpu yatra. âMs Vijayalakshmiâs deeksha is politically motivated,â he said. Earlier, TRS MP Vijayashanti alleged that Ms Vijayalakshmiâs âdeeksha' was not for weavers but to get foothold in Telangana. âThere are lots of problems in Rayalaseema, why is she not taking up a deeksha there? Telangana people will never believe them,â she said.
