Flat owners unaware: Cops
An officer investigating the case where police raided a rave party in Banjara Hills on Saturday said, “The individuals who were arrested had taken the keys of a friend’s flat in an apartment at Banjara Hills. As the owners were out, they were using the flat for the rave party. The owners do not have any knowledge of the party. We raided the party after receiving information. Some people managed to escape and others were still to come to the party.”
The operation was led by West Zone special party sub-inspector Khaleel Pasha and supervised by deputy commissioner of police Stephen Ravindra. When contacted, the West Zone police said, “We have been concentrating on the drug flow into the city. We busted the party after receiving information. MDMA is becoming popular among party-going crowds.” A case has been booked against the four under the NDPS (Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances) Act.
