Cops zoom in on T-march violators
The Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the city police has started identifying the accused involved in the Telangana March violence on September 30. A total of 41 cases have booked.
After attending a meet to discuss the status on cases with home minister P. Sabita Indra Reddy on Tuesday, police commissioner Anurag Sharma said, “Thirty-four cases have been booked for the incidents around Hussainsagar and seven more cases at Osmania University. Other than the main accused, most of them are not known. We are identifying them with the help of video footage. SIT probe is on.” CCS and SIT DCP John Victor also attended the review meeting.
The prime accused is Prof. Kodandaram of Telangana Joint Action Committee, Swamy Goud and Srinivas Goud of the Telangana Employees’ Joint Action Committee.
Sources said that except for Mr Srinivas Goud, there were no specific cases booked against other Telangana employees.
