Cuba Libre raid: Cops find 31 minors

Panjagutta police on Tuesday raided the pub Cuba Libre in GVK Mall, and found 31 minors in the bar. A case has been booked against the owner of the club under the City Police Act for admitting minors in the pub. No cases were booked against the students since the police found that they hadn’t consumed alcohol. Around 108 students from Agarwal Degree College, Charkaman, were partying when the police raid happened.

GVK Mall was raided on Wednesday by the Panjagutta police who booked a case against the owner of the pub. Deputy commissioner of police, West Zone, Stephen Ravindra said that the license of the club would be cancelled. “They violated the norms and conditions of the licence by allowing minors into the bar attached to the club,” he said. Panjagutta assistant commissioner of police D. Venkata Narsaiah said that the case was under the AP City Police Act under Section 21/76.
