In the resort they had liquor and Kumar went for a swim in the pool. As he didn’t return for a long time, his friends checked in the pool and found that he had drowned. They immediately rushed him to a private hospital nearby where he was declared dead. Police registered a case of suspicious death and shifted the body to Osmania General Hospital mortuary.

Police thwart Murder attempt
Sleuths of the commissioner’s task force, South Zone, apprehended a notorious criminal and his two associates at Kalapathar and foiled their murder attempt. Acting on a tip-off, the task force apprehended the trio and seized hunting sickles, daggers, two motorcycles and a cellphone from them.

During interrogation, the prime accused S.K. Obaid, 25, a dealer in artificial jewels, confessed that five months ago he had married a divorcee and ever since that he was being harassed by her ex-husband, Shabbir. Angered at this Obaid had decided to kill Shabbir. Meanwhile, Obaid became friends with Habeeb Mahammad alias Sayeed Pasha, (a criminal involved in 25 robbery cases and two attempted murder cases) and his partner in crime, Feroz Khan. Sayeed Pasha, himself was looking for help to kill one Asad of Misrigunj, Kamatipura, who owed him Rs 3 lakh. Opportunity presented itself in the form of Obaid. They both agreed to help eliminate each other’s rivals.

They stole a CBZ vehicle at knife point from Santoshnagar on April 29 and robbed Rs 3,000 from a kirana store in Langer Houz. It is learnt that Obaid and Feroz procured deadly weapons from Nanded in Maharashtra. The three have been remanded to custody.

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.

Shekhar Kapur’s Bandit Queen didn’t make the cut. Neither did Shaji Karun’s Piravi, which bagged 31 international awards.
