Electrician found dead near home

A 55-year-old electrician was found murdered in front of his house at Kindhi Basti on Saturday. The deceased was identified as G. Narayana. Medchal inspector A. Ram Reddy said that the body was found in a pool of blood at 5.30 am by his neighbours. Narayana’s head was smashed with a stone. He was working as an electrician in the Kindhi Basti area. Narayana was deserted by his wife 10 years back, and since then had been living alone in his house, the police said.

Police shifted the body to the Medchal government hospital and after post-mortem it was handed over to his brother’s family. The police has registered a murder case and has started investigation. “We came to know that Narayana had two other houses in Jeedimetla outskirts. We are suspecting a dispute regarding these houses and this could have led to the murder,” Inspector Ram Reddy said. The murder might have taken place late in the night when Narayana came back from work, and this came to light after neighbours noticed it in the morning, police added.
