Exam date clash worries aspirants
Clash of recruitment exams on May 27 has become a problem for thousands of job aspirants in the state. The recruitment exam for Central Armed Police Force being conducted by Staff Selection Commission, and the Group-I recruitment exam being conducted by the AP Public Service Commission, have been scheduled for May 27.
With this, candidates are urging APPSC to change the exam date to protect the interests of candidates as SSC has ruled out the possibility to reschedule the exam, saying that it is a national-level exam and if rescheduled, it has to be done for the entire country, which may pose several problems. Candidates who had applied for both the exams are in a fix as to which one they should appear for in the eventuality of APPSC also sticking to its scheduled date for the exam.
Thousands of candidates in the state have applied for both these exams as the educational qualifications required for both, CAPF and Group-I are the same. “Since Group-I is a state-level exam, APPSC can reschedule it. There are several instances of APPSC rescheduling its exams. It had recently postponed degree college lecturers’ recruitment exam. If it sticks to its schedule, we will have to leave one exam,” said Ch. Prabhakar, a job aspirant.
