Firms trying to misuse high security no. plate project: Khan
APSRTC chairman and MD A.K. Khan hinted that the companies that bid for the high security registration plates project, whose implementation is running behind schedule, are inclined to capitalise on the situation.
Speaking at a press conference, Mr Khan said the participating companies had quoted a fee that was 40 to 50 per cent more than that in other states, an indication of the companies trying to misuse the opportunity.
“The tender process was completed a week ago and the L1 (lowest bidder) was selected. But the committee, formed for the tender process, observed that these companies had quoted an abnormal price. The state government has been informed and they have to take a decision,” he said.
Meanwhile, he has asked every regional zone director and department head to come up with a six-point agenda on how to increase the Occupancy Ratio and Kmpl mileage.
