GOs: Mantris, babu to be examined

The CBI also stated that the role of Ponnala Lakshmaiah be examined regarding the GO pertaining to industrial water supply from the Krishna River to Penna Cements and that the statement of IAS officer Aditya Nath Das was already recorded.

It also told the court that the role of Ms Indra Reddy and IAS officer Y. Srilakshmi would be examined regarding the change of name of Raghuram Cements to Bharathi Cements and the surrender of 475 acres of land by Raghuram Cements.

Regarding the two GOs pertaining to the land ceiling exemption of 39.55 acres and 79.37 acres in Kadapa in favour of Raghuram Cements and the lease extension GOs and orders related to Brahmani Steels, the CBI stated that minister Dharmana Prasada Rao and IAS official M. Samuel would be examined as the investigation progressed.

The CBI has already examined then mines minister Ms Sabita Reddy regarding licences to Penna Cements, issue of limestone lease in favour of Saraswathi Power and Industries and transfer of mining lease held by Eswar Cements to Penna.

The statement of IAS official Ms Srilakshmi, who is in custody regarding the OMC mining case, was rec-orded in judicial custody.

The CBI has also recorded the statements of Mr Prasada Rao and the then revenue secretary, Mr Sam-uel, regarding alienation of land to Penna Cements in Anantapur, Guntur and Prakasam districts.
The CBI has already arrested former minister Mopidevi Venkatramana regarding the Vanpic project GOs and the then secretary Manmohan Singh has been examined.

The CBI, meanwhile, said that it had found no irregularities regarding exemption of stamp duty and registration fee in favour of Ramky Estates for the township project in Maheswaram. The GO was issued by IAS official K. Ratnaprabha.

The CBI has also said that there were no irregularities regarding the establi-shment of integrated solid waste management under the JNNURM scheme by Ramky Environ Engineers.

The CBI has also said there are no prima facie irregularities regarding reimbursement of stamp duty registration fees to Ramky Pharma City or in the GO pertaining to Brahmani Infratech.
