IT Summit to showcase social impact products
The second edition of the Global IT Summit âAdvantage AP 2012â will be hosted in the city on June 21 and 22 by the Information Technology and Communications department. The highlights of the summit will be the products of social impact to be showcased by around 200 participating companies as well as the student participants. The release of the Andhra Pradesh Hardware Policy, and a CEOs enclave bringing together CEOs of over 200 IT companies from across the globe are other eagerly anticipated events. Most importantly, it is expected to be a huge learning and networking opportunity. Over 1,000 industry delegates are expected to participate.
The department is hosting the summit to mark the 100th birth anniversary of the father of computer science, Alan Turing. It will use the occasion to showcase the state as an IT destination. âThe Advantage AP Summit will throw open an opportunity for everyone across sides to learn,â said ITsAP president V. Rajanna. Over 500 business delegates representing the IT industry, IT infrastructure developers and end users of IT products and services are expected to attend. Union minister of state Sachin Pilot, chairman of Infosys and ICICI Bank K.V. Kamat, president, Nasscom, Som Mittal, secretary to GoI, DEIT, J. Satyanarayana, director general of the Software Technology Parks of India, Omkar Rai, regional heads of TCS and Computer Associates among others will attend.
