The accused in the three chargesheets filed in Jagan Mohan Reddy’s illegal assets case, appeared before the court, and hearing of the case has been posted to July 4.
IAS officer, G. Venkat Ram Reddy, however, filed a memo before the court as he could not appear before the court in view of prevailing situation in Srikakulam district. He is presently the collector of Srikakulam district. Jagan Mohan Reddy and suspended IAS officer B.P. Acharya, who is also lodged in Chanchalguda prison in the Emaar scam, were produced before the principal special judge, A. Pullaiah. Clad in a striped shirt and black trousers, Jagan Mohan Reddy stood with folded hands .
The judge also asked the investigating officer in the case, CBI superintendent of police, H. Venkatesh, to correct the names of the accused in the chargesheet. The court wanted the representatives of the companies, who are shown as accused in the charge-sheets, to be substituted in place of the names of the companies.
