KCR renews T-Bill demand

TRS chief K. Chandrasekhar Rao on Wednesday told the Centre to honour the verdict of Telangana people in the bypolls by moving Telangana Bill in this Session of Parliament. “The T-movement has risen to great heights again. I earnestly appeal to the Prime Minister and Congress chief Sonia Gandhi, on behalf of four crore Telangana people, to carve out a new state. They shouldn’t test the patience of people. They will bury you,” Mr Rao remarked.

He described the results as a “slap on the face of the Congress that has gone back on the Telangana promise and the TD that has stalled the process and has adopted the ‘two eyes’ concept.” “From Adilabad to Kollapur, Telangana sentiment has prevailed,” he said. The TRS chief said that the Congress is on its death throes in the state and the TD is almost wiped out, having lost deposits in three constituencies.

“We should not be content with the win. We should fight till we achieve Telangana,” he said. “Mr Naidu threatened us. He said this will be our last election. The TD is a pucca Andhra party and it has lost its base even in the Andhra region as the Kovur result show,” Mr Rao added. Thanking the people, party leaders and the cadre for the big win, the TRS chief said that though the party candidate lost in Mahbubnagar, Telangana sentiment has prevailed with the BJP win. Mr Rao disclosed that the party’s politburo would meet on March 25 to take stock of the bypoll results. “We should not get overwhelmed by the victory or depressed over defeat. If you add the votes polled by the TRS and BJP in Mahbubnagar, it is over 70 per cent. It indicates support for T-state,” he said.

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.
