Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy on Wednesday launched a scathing attack on YSR Congress president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, saying that he had gone utterly mad and was propagating falsehood against the conduct of the byelections in the state.

Reacting to the letter written by Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy to the Prime Minister, the Chief Minister, reiterated that the byelections to the 18 Assembly seats in the state will be held without fail. He was speaking to the media at the residence of senior Telugu Desam leader Kandati Shankar Reddy, who joined the Congress party. Mr Kiran Kumar Reddy sought Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy’s clarification as to how he got thousands of crores of rupees as investments in his companies.

“The CBI investigation into Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy’s assets case has nothing to do with the Congress. We will definitely win the maximum number of seats. Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy has lost his cool and has became mad, as he is afraid of getting arrested,” Mr Kiran Kumar Reddy said. The Chief Minister maintained that neither the state nor the Central government is interfering into the CBI probe. “It is unfair and unethical on the part of Jagan to blame others,” he said. Mr Kiran Kumar Reddy also deplored the “meaningless allegations” that he (Kiran Kumar Reddy) had entered into ‘match-fixing’ with the TD.

“He has no moral right to ask the people for votes. Jagan must clarify to the people about his ill-gotten assets and investments into his companies through backdoor methods,” Mr Kiran Kumar Reddy. He also brushed aside the remarks made by Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy during his Guntur meeting that the Congress government is making efforts to arrest him.

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.
