Macca bomber Bharat Bhai in Chanchalguda jail

Bharat Mohanlal Rateswar alias Bharat Bhai, the prime accused in the Macca Masjid blast, was produced before the National Investigation Agency court in Nampally on Wednesday.

However, the court exten-ded the judicial custody of Bharat. He was later taken to Chanchalguda jail.
NIA sleuths brought Bharat Bhai on a prisoner transit warrant from Rajasthan, where he was lodged in jail in the Ajmer Dargah blast case.

He is also an accused in the Samjhauta Express blast and Malegaon blast cases. Nine people were killed and 58 were injured in the bomb blast at the historic Macca Masjid on May 18, 2007.

Bharat Bhai has already confessed his involvement in Macca Masjid bomb blast. He is the seventh accused in the case and it was at a meeting at his house that the blast conspiracy was hatched.
