Man kills wife, wraps body in bed-sheet

A 33-year-old woman was strangulated to death and her body was found wrapped up in bed sheet in her shelter at Jeedimetla on Tuesday.

Police suspect Kavita, a native of Assam, was killed by a man, who used to claim himself as her husband.

The body was found in a decomposed condition, concealed beneath logs and wood pieces.
Suspect Ramesh alias Salim, 28, a street vendor from Assam, has been absconding since Monday night, police said.

T. Narasimha Raju, Jeedimetla sub-inspector said, the couple was living in a rented shelter at Ushodaya colony in Jeedimetla for the last two months. “They had told the locals that they were a married couple. However, we doubt if they were really married.”
