Man put under needless Care
After a patient was cured with a few tablets, instead of a brain surgery as had been suggested by doctors, his family lodged a complaint with the AP Medical Council against a neuro-physician and radiologist from Care Hospital, Nampally.
The case has been pending for the last 11 months. Mr Rajesh Kumar Agarwal, 43, was taken to Care Hospital after he complained of severe head-aches on April 13 last year. He was checked by neuro-physician Dr J.M.K. Murthy, who, after a slew of tests including a CT scan, brain MRI, complete surgical blood test and CT brain angio, advised an immediate operation. However, the operation was later postponed by a couple of days.
Suspecting something wrong, the family took the opinion of doctors from Nims, Kims and Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital. Their diagnosis contradicted with that of the doctors at the Care Hospital and Mr Agarwal was cured of his ailment with just a few tablets.
