Mukesh Goud son booked for kidnap
The Sanathnagar police booked cases against Vikram Goud, the son of marketing and warehousing minister Vikram Goud for kidnapping and extortion.
Police had received a complaint from a person named Samba Shiva Rao alleging that Vikram Goud and his followers had kidnapped him a few days ago and compelled him to sign some business documents.
According to Balanagar ACP S. Damodar, Vikram Goud and Samba Shiva Rao were partners in a real estate business at Motinagar, Erragadda.
“They had invested a few crores in the venture. When they had fallout regarding the investment, Vikram and his aides allegedly kidnapped Samba Shiva Rao and kept him in a room. They compelled him to sign a few documents to extort money from him,” Mr Damodar said.
Mr Venkat Reddy, sub-inspector of police, Sanathnagar said Vikram Goud owed money to Samba Shiva Rao, and when he asked for it to be returned, he was threatened.
Police has booked cases against Vikram Goud and four others under Sections 364 A (for kidnapping, 346 (wrongful confinement), 383 (extortion) and Section 506 (threatening) of the Indian Penal Code. Police has launched an investigation.
