Naidu’s family supports Modi, says Kishan

State Bharatiya Janata Party president G. Kishan Reddy on Saturday said if his party projects Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi as the NDA’s Prime Ministerial candidate, Telugu Desam president N. Chandrababu Naidu's wife Bhuvaneshwari and other family members would support him.

Taking a dig at Mr Naidu for opposing Mr Modi, Mr Kishan Reddy said some parties were doing so to appease Muslims. “Some parties are trying to project the BJP and Mr Modi as communal with an eye on the Muslim “vote bank”. This is not correct,” he said.

Describing him as an efficient administrator with a clean image, Mr Kishan Reddy said Mr Modi has all the capabilities to become the Prime Minister. “If he (Mr Modi) is projected as PM, even Mr Naidu's wife and son would support him,” the BJP state chief said.

The BJP has decided to stall Parliament on the last day of the Monsoon Sessi-on on the Telangana issue besides undertaking a thr-ee-day satyagraha in New Delhi from September 3 to 5, he said
