Naidu says yes to Baba’s call
Calling the Centre's white paper on black money a “paper of lies”, yoga guru Baba Ramdev on Monday urged the UPA-II government to act strongly against corruption and black money, and ens-ure an effective Lokpal Bill is passed by Parliament. Stating that the country has been carved up between “Shining India” and “Burning India”, he said the increasing gap between the two could be bridged only if corruption was rooted out and black money seized.
Baba Ramdev said a massive agitation wou-ld be organised in New Delhi on August 9 to exert political and public pressure on the government to act on the demands of the anti-gr-aft civil society group. The yoga guru met Telugu Desam president N. Chandrababu Naidu at the latter’s Jubilee Hills' residence on Monday as part of his efforts to mobilise political support against corruption. Pledging support, Mr Naidu promised to talk with other national leaders and industrialists in the fight against corruption and black money.
