Naidu seeks party’s support on T-letter

Telugu Desam chief N. Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday alleged that the Congress, TRS and YSR Congress have ganged up to target his party on various fronts, including the contentious Telangana issue. “We have already given a letter to the Centre on Telangana (and) we did not take it back. We are (still) being deliberately targeted,” Mr Naidu claimed. “The TRS, for its own political compulsions, has offered to merge with the Congress, while YSRC leaders have said they do not know about the party’s future.”

On the Telangana front, Mr Naidu said he would discuss the issue of his letter to the Centre with all sections of the party on Wednesday and Thursday and arrive at a decision later. But he did not specify whether he would offer clarity on the Telangana issue before or after his padayatra (rally).
