Naidu will be CM candidate: Balakrishna

“I have never put up any demand for a post, nor was there any discussion on it when I met Mr Naidu recently,” actor Balakrishna said on Saturday.

He also put to rest speculation that the TD mantle would be handed over to a member of NTR clan.
Asked who will be the TD’s CM candidate in 2014, he quipped, “Of course, Babu garu.”

Balakrishna also dismissed suggestions of any differences within the Nandamuri family and accused vested interests of trying to create a wedge in the family. “Those who are trying to divide the family in the name of fans would be taught a fitting lesson by the people,” he warned.

He said both Jr NTR and Lokesh were welcome to take up an active role in the TD, depending on their convenience. “Jr NTR is busy with films, while Lokesh is busy with business. But if people want Lokesh to take an active part in politics, he will do so,” he said.

The actor said he would take time off from his film schedule and work at the cancer hospital to devote time to active politics.
