‘Neet’ scam by managements

Though the state government is yet to announce the implementation of the national common entrance test, Neet, for MBBS admissions from next year, medical and dental colleges have jacked up capitation fee/donations in the name of the new test for giving admissions under the management quota.
The utter confusion among students and parents about Neet is being exploited by college managements and brokers, who are spreading all kinds of rumours and fears about the new test, and how difficult it will be to get seats in medical and dental colleges once Neet comes into force.

Unscrupulous college managements are demanding huge premiums saying that from next year, it will be extremely difficult to get seats due to the national-level test. The brokers have gone a step ahead, and have started “advance bookings” for MBBS and dental seats for the next two to three years. However, education officials say students should not fall into the trap of paying huge donations because the new exam is only an entrance test which replaces Eamcet, and will have no impact on seat allotments for AP students.
