New gates and access control for CBI office
The Kendriya Sadan office complex at Sultan Bazaar which houses the CBI office is being fortified with huge gates and electronic access control. A barbed fencing has been put up on the compound wall of the Kendriya Sadan which also hosts several central government offices.
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) which deals with several high profile cases like the Jagan assets case, Emaar, Obulapuram and other cases is under focus for the past one and half years. The accused involved in the cases are brought to the office for being questioned. CBI JD Lakshminarayana is facing threats and is in the high security category. Officials at the Kendriya Sadan said that the old gates of the compound were removed and replaced with taller gates. “This is to prevent protestors and suspects from coming in. There will be access control at the main entrance. All employees will be provided with access control devices and visitors will have to record their details before coming in,” a CBI official said.
