No post finalised for Transco CMD

The state government shifted Transco chairman and MD Ajay Jain, and irrigation principal secretary Rajiv Ranjan Mishra, who had been in their respective posts for a long time and had been seeking transfers. While Mr Mishra has been made the principal secretary of Municipal Administration and Urban Development in place of Vijay Kumar, the state is yet to finalise a posting for Mr Jain who is on in-service training. Mr Vijay Kumar’s transfer came as a surprise and sources said that the CM himself wanted to transfer the official.

Transport commissioner Hiralal Samaria will be the new CMD of APTransco and B. Aravind Reddy, director, marketing, has been made principal secretary of irrigation. Panchayat raj commissioner Sunil Sarma has been posted as secretary of infrastructure and investment. The state also posted Ch. Vijayamohan as MD of AP Foods, M. Padma as Hyderabad chief rationing officer, Dr Gaurav Uppal as executive director of AP Housing Corporation and G.S.P. Das as executive director of the Water Board.
