For the first time ever, Anti-Corruption Bureau sleuths on Wednesday arrested Osmania University assistant professor Chand Basha for allegedly accepting a bribe from a research scholar, highlighting the pressure that students face while pursuing their doctoral degree. According to ACB director-general D. Boobathi Babu, Dr Chand Basha, an assistant professor in microbiology, was caught at 10.45 am on the OU campus while accepting a bribe of Rs 20,000.
