Owaisi sees Sangh role in rumours
All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen chief Asad-uddin Owaisi assured people from Northeast living in Hyderabad of all protection and urged them not to leave.
Addressing a gathering at the Macca Masjid on Jummatul-Vida, Mr Owaisi said people from the Northeast are Indian citizens like their counterparts from anywhere else in the country.
He said he visited Anjaiahnagar and Siddiq-nagar and reassured people. “I told them we will protect them,” he said.
The Lok Sabha MP from the city alleged that rumours spread by certain anti-social elements, threatening people from the Northeast, was part of a conspiracy of the Sangh Parivar.
