PG medical scam: Hyderabad corporator son questioned
A Chandigarh court has recorded the statement of Barkatpura Congress corporator Diddi Rambabu’s son Dr D. Krishna in the PG medical (MS/MD) entrance scam being investigated by the CBI.
CBI-Chandigarh SP Vineet Brijlal, who is the investigating officer, said: “D. Krishna is suspected to be one of the beneficiaries.
We have recorded his statement under 164 CrPc. We will decide on his role based on the evidence. The case is still under investigation.” He added that statements of other suspected beneficiaries were being recorded.
Dr Krishna had done his MBBS from Shanta Ram Medical College in Nandyal, Kurnool. He wrote the PGIMER exam at Chandigarh.
Gurivi Reddy, one of the prime accused, was his senior.
The CBI has started recording statements of the suspected beneficiaries, mostly doctors who are children of prominent doctors.
