Police rescues kidnapped girl
The Hayathnagar police has traced six-year-old Keertana who was abducted by a woman at Pedda Amberpet on Wednesday. The kidnapper abandoned the child at a place coming under Saidabad police station limits. Passersby who noticed the girl standing alone, handed her over to the police station.
Hayathnagar Inspector G. Srinivas Kumar said at about 9.30 pm on Wednesday night itself, a person named Narasimha Naik had handed over the girl to the Saidabad police station. Officials from the Saidabad police station informed the Hayathnagar cops after seeing their missing notices, and in the morning the Hayathnagar police along with the parents of the girl went to the Saidabad station and took their daughter home.
“We couldn’t arrest the kidnapper. As the girl is just six years old she is not able to explain anything,” said Mr G. Srinivas Kumar. Keertana was kidnapped by a woman who lured her and two other boys playing with her promising them chocolates. The woman took all the three in an autorickshaw to Hayathnagar. There she took Keertana with her and left behind the other two kids saying that she would come back to pick them up. As the woman didn’t return, the boys got frightened and ran home.
