Ramesh knew of plot to shoot Suri
Gangster M. Bhanu Kiran has confessed to the police that film producer Singanamala Ramesh knew about the conspiracy to murder Maddelacheruvu Suri. Kiran told the CID, which is probing the case, that the producer was also present at an open area near Shamshabad where he tested a firearm. Some of the big-budget films he partly financed include Komaram Puli starring Pawan Kalyan.
CID officials said that according to Bhanu, he and Ramesh met at Touch pub where the plot to eliminate Suri was hatched on December 31, 2010. Soon after, Bhanu along with Ramesh and another person, Madhu Mohan Reddy, went to Shamsh-abad in a car (AP09 2629) and test-fired his weapon . “I practised firing at Shamshabad. I fired six rounds. Film producer Ramesh was present,” Bhanu told the cops, according to sources. Suri was murdered on January 3, 2011.
Revealing his association with Ramesh, Bhanu told the police of his role in the settlement of a dispute in a firm, Annapurna Packages, along with another aide, B. Pradeep Reddy. Bhanu said he had settled many land disputes with the help of Ramesh and another producer C. Kalyan. Both Ramesh and Kalyan are facing many cases of cheating and cheque bounce. In some other revelations, the CID said Bhanu had settled a land dispute of Jayabheri Constructions owned by Telugu Desam leader and former actor Murali Mohan.
