Restless MLAs seek strategy

Disturbed over the ongoing tussle between Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy and PCC president Botsa Satyanarayana on all major issues concerning the party and the government, a majority of ruling party’s young MLAs are becoming restless. They demand the state leadership to immediately organise a brainstorming session with all the legislators to script a strategy to counter the Telugu Desam, the TRS and the YSR Congress.

Congress Young Legisl-ators Forum convener and Medchal MLA Kitchennagari Laxma Reddy has confirmed the unease among the younger legislators, who are the most worried over their political future.

“We, the young legislators, have been discussing the present happenings in the party in the last few days. The situation is not encouraging for us at all. Both the Chief Minister and the PCC chief should stop their quarrel first and take steps to set matters right. They should work as a team and take everyone along. However, we observe that this is not happening, everyone in the party is worried about the future,” Mr Laxma Reddy said.

The young leaders, most of whom are first-time legislators, are keen that the state leadership act now and script a political strategy on how to encounter the TD, the TRS and the YSR Congress. “We will represent our point of view to both the Chief Minister and Mr Satyanarayana and request a brainstorming session with all legislators to deliberate the happenings in the state. Without proper planning and strategy, nothing can be achieved,” Mr Laxma Reddy stated.

The young legislators want accountability to be fixed on the ministers who were made in-charge of bypolls that have been already held and those that are going to be held. They want action to be taken against the ministers who are in-charge of these byelection segments if the Congress performs poorly.
