School manager being grilled on ‘great escape’
A school manager was allegedly kidnapped by an advocate at Kukatpally.
The victim, Sanjiv Rao, 45, a resident of KPHB colony and the manager of Margadharshi school at BHEL, had gone missing from Wednesday morning, and his wife approached the KPHB police alleging that an advocate named Prabhakar Rao had kidnapped him.
However, the victim came to the KPHB police station on Thursday morning and told the police that Prabhakar Reddy had abducted him to grab his property.
KPHB police inspector G. Baswa Reddy said the police is yet to book a case in the matter as they have doubts about the victim’s claim.
“The victim alleged that he was abducted by the advocate on Wednesday morning, and that he had been taken him to a building in Attapur and forced to sign documents regarding a piece of land which belonged to him,” he said.
The Inspector said that Sanjiv Rao and Prabhakar Reddy had a dispute regarding two acres of land, and the case went to court.
Sanjiv Rao won the case. “Sanjiv claims that Prabhakar Reddy used to threaten him to make him hand over the land.
He said that Prabhakar came to BHEL, dragged him into a scorpio car and abducted him,” inspector Baswa Reddy said. Sanjiv said that Prabhakar Reddy and his aides used to call him on the phone and demand money claiming that they were Naxals.
Sanjiv Rao’s wife Vijayalakshmi has lodged a complaint. However, the police is yet to register a case.
