Stop backing communal forces: Asaduddin to KCR
Hyderabad MP and Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen pre-sident Asaduddin Owaisi on Wednesday urged Telangana Rashtra Samiti to stop backing the communal forces. Speaking to mediapersons after meeting Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy in the evening, Mr Owaisi alleged that TRS president K. Chandrasekhar Rao had deliberately allowed the defeat of his party candidate in Mahbu-bnagar, who happens to be a Muslim, because of a tacit understanding with the BJP.
The Majlis leader cautioned the TRS against getting wiped out by the BJP in the Telangana region. Mr Owaisi also demanded that the government keep surveillance on Hindu Vahini organisation which enjoyed support of all the “so called” secular parties. The Hyderabad MP complained to the Chief Minister against Congress MLA Jagga Reddy, alleging that he had backed communal forces in the recent Sangareddy clashes. Mr Owaisi wondered how the Congress, being a secular party, could support such leaders.
He demanded that the government initiate action against police personnel who failed to contain the recent clashes. The ACPs of Malakpet and Santosh Nagar, besides the inspector of police of Saidabad did not react in time to prevent the clashes, Mr Owaisi said. The Majlis leader also condemned the desecration of Hindu temples which he said were part of a larger conspiracy to create unrest.
