Sushma Swaraj appeals against suicides

The Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Ms Sushma Swaraj has appealed to Telangana youth not to resort to suicides as that can never solve any problem.

“The BJP will soon come to power and Telangana formation is inevitable,” she said.

Expressing shock at the suicides by youths for Telangana, she said in a statement released through the State BJP that the suicides reflect the disappointment of the youth at the betrayal of the Centre. But suicide is not a solution, she said.

“Telangana has a brave history. I do understand the opportunism of some parties. But that is no reason to commit suicide,” she said.

She added, "But there is no reason to commit suicide. The struggle for a separate Telangana is five decades old and the people of Telangana will soon realise it. The BJP will continue to fight for the cause of Telangana constantly reflecting the aspirations and emotions of the people. I am with you in your struggle. The BJP will surely deliver the dream of Telangana. I appeal to the youth to have faith in us so that together we can realise the dream," she said.
