Talk of change in leadership makes CM laugh

Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy on Tuesday laughed away rumours that he might be replaced soon. “It’s all your imagination; you are creating the buzz,” he told reporters amid laughter. He was attending the ‘At Home’ hosted by Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan and his wife Vimala at the Raj Bhavan. Knowing there would be many queries directed at the CM, the Governor, in a lighter vein, asked the media to deal directly with Mr Reddy

Guv, CM bowled over by ‘Suvarna jatheeya geetham’
Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan, Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy and other dignitaries were impressed with a “Suvarna Jatheeya Geetham” (National Anthem) written in gold on six grains of rice by artist Sriramoji Maruthi which was displayed for the invitees at the Raj Bhavan. Speaker Nadendla Manohar, deputy Speaker Bhatti Vikramarka, labour minister Danam Nagender, former PCC chief D. Srinivas, chief secretary Minnie Mathew and several other dignitaries attended the event.
