Temperature may go up in city soon
The conditions are just ripe for the temperature in the City that has remained bearable till now to shoot up.
“Depending on the parameters, like clear skies and northerly winds, the temperature in Bengaluru will increase in the coming days. We don’t expect the temperature to cross 37 degrees Celsius this month, and it has not gone beyond over 36 yet,” said B. Puttanna, Director, IMD, Bengaluru.
On the rainfall, Mr Puttanna said the sudden rise in temperature could lead to showers, but they cannot be predicted. “At present, there are no weather systems to cause rains over Bengaluru and other parts,” he said.
“But we recorded 4 mm rainfall in Bhagamandala in Kodagu on Tuesday, but it is counted as rainfall over isolated patch of land. If the heat increases in Bengaluru then we can expect rainfall activity with thunders and hailstorms. Normally, there are rains in April and May in the city,” he added.
