Tension flares up after flag burning

Tension prevailed at Subji Mandi in the Kulsumpura area of old city on Monday night as people from two communities clashed with each other.

It started when the flag of one community was set ablaze by miscreant.

Sources said community members also burnt a few shops and resorted to stone pelting. The police and Rapid Action Force reached the spot.

Goshamahal ACP D. Srinivas was injured in the stone pelting. The situation has been brought under control.
