Those who want to go, can go: CM
Referring to Telugu Desam chief N. Chandrababu Naidu’s on-going padayatra, Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy said, “It’s good that Naidu is working hard by taking up the padayatra at the age of 63.
He served as CM for nine years but did nothing for the welfare of people. He has to walk several thousand kilometres to work off his sins as CM.”
On allegations of being anti-Muslim, he said, “No other government in the state has done more than the Congress government for the welfare of minorities.
Be it providing reservations for education and job opportunities or enhancing the budgetary allocations for minority scholarships manifold, it is the Congress which worked for the all-round development of minorities.”
Referring to reports of defection from the Congress, Mr Reddy said, “Those who want to go, can go. New blood will come. We will never try to pacify or them.”
Talking about the YSR Congress, he said, “The party’s flag displays the welfare schemes being implemented by the Con-gress government now. I don’t know what more they have to do when all the schemes displayed on their party flag are Congress schemes. Where is the need for that party when all those scheme are being implemented by us?”
